Who we are

MyRealSalary is the trading name of an independent publisher based in India. Contact: [email protected]. If you need our legal name and postal address, for example to exercise your rights, email us and we will give them to you.

The calculator

The salary details you type into the calculators are worked out in your browser and are not sent to us.

What we collect

Technical data: our host Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser and device details to deliver and protect the site.
Statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and gives us aggregate figures only.
Emails: if you email us, we receive your email address and message and use them to reply to you.
Advertising: none yet. When adverts are switched on, Google and its partners will use cookies to show and measure ads, and we will update this notice first.

Who receives data

Cloudflare (hosting, security and email forwarding), Google (email). Cloudflare and Google process data in India, the United States and other countries under their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Emails: up to 12 months after the conversation ends. Cloudflare and Google keep data as described in their own policies.

Your rights

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 will give you the right to a summary of your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to nominate someone to act for you, and to have a complaint dealt with by us and then by the Data Protection Board of India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 these rights are expected to apply from May 2027. You can make any of these requests now by emailing us.

Visitors from the UK and Europe

If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, data protection law there also applies, including your right to complain to your local regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Children

This site is not directed at children.
